Review of Star*Drive Arms & Equipment Guide

Most of my complaints about Alternity center around the fact that most weapons don't seem to do enough damage. There are some nasty things in this book that really serve to diffuse that criticism! I love equipment books, and while this book doesn't soar like GURPS Ultra-Tech and Ultra-Tech 2 its still pretty good.

The book covers weapons, cyberware, medical equipment, vehicles, and all sorts of other stuff. I really like how sensor technology is handled in the Alternity system, and there are some interesting devices in here that really help to add some depth to sensor skills. None of this is really inspirational, but this is a good solid book, much like the Star Drive setting.

I'd give this book a solid "B." You do not need this book if you have the Player's Handbook, but there are assorted trinkets in here which will delight players and GMs. None of this is essential, but it is kind of fun.
