New Columns

Two weeks means two new Fuzzy Thinking comics from Christopher Cecil: "Reverse the Polarity of the Neutron Flow!" and "Alternate Power Sources."

Iustum published a new issue of PbP-gaming-focused column Words on a Screen, continuing his look at the nuts and bolts of running a PbP in "Mechanical Concerns, Part Two."

And, Brent Dedeaux of Tales from the Rocket House series, discussed a different way of handling character special abilities in "Combo Breaker."

New Reviews

Edward Kabara reviewed tile-laying game "Rome: City of Marble," finding it to be a great introductory game with slick rules that teaches itself well.

Shannon Appelcline took a look at "Orléans: Invasion," a co-op expansion for the well-regarded Orléans eurogame that features a tense, truly cooperative scenario as well as expanding options for multiplayer, two-player, and solo play.

Endzeitgeist reviewed "Guarding Galaxy XXX," a supplement for the adult-themed sci-fi RPG Alpha Blue and found it to be a solid free supplement if suffering from some structural issues.

Threads You Might Have Missed

If you have enough years behind you to have nostalgia for the 80s and 90s, these two Other Media threads are for you: "So, what's the most 80s movie of all 80s movies?" and "Most 90's movie of the 90's?" If you aren't in that demographic, then come see what all the olds are on about.

This short but content-filled thread is great for GMs looking for advice on how to structure adventures: "Your 'Adventure' Structure.".

And, for some world-building goodness that is useful in almost any game, head over to "32 flavours of bizzare cultural misunderstanding between species." Also a great thread if you just need a chuckle.
