Review of Land of Two Rivers
The Chronopia system is set in a dark and bloody fantasy world. In this world, the Elves, Dwarves and Blackbloods (Orcs, Goblins, Trolls, Ogres) are set against the humans, ruled by their time-travelling One King. However, all of the races have a dire enemy in the Devout, a collection of demon-worshippers and demons, led by the four prophets who once were trusted followers of the One King.
So, the world is at war. Nothing new there. The Devout, however, are winning - they are pushing back all the other races. So, the One King, time-traveller that he is, knows that he needs to find a way to stop the Devout before they crush him utterly.
How about giving them a new foe, one that is perhaps more powerful?
So, the One King awakens the Stygian - a race of savage lizard people, and the war takes a whole new turn.
Enough of a history legend. What does this book have? A smattering of new rules- mostly to represent the new troops introduced in this book. New troops for all the armies. New spells and equipment for each of them as well.
Plus, an entire new race - the impressively powerful Stygian.
All this in full color, with tons of great art and pictures.
I tell you, Target is hot. This game is hot. Get it before the stores run out.
