Review of Armistice - Armor Combat in the Near Future
That is a LOT to pack into a product this size.
The layout is workable, with a Table of Contents and parts clearly numbered. The pictures help give a feel of the world of Armistice, which is pretty simple but still interesting.
Unfortunately, due to the small size and great ambition of this product, some things got looked over. For instance, combat is completely unclear. There are no examples, which is forgivable. But I have absolutely no clue how damage works in this game. I have searched several times, but am no closer to knowing.
I *think* I can figure something out - but guessing at the designs of an author are not something I like doing in the middle of a game. So, while what I have figured out is nice and playable, which is missing is pretty big.
If you have contact with the author, buy this game and ask him for explanation of the rules. Otherwise...I would pass on it, and wait for the 2nd Edition.
