Every turn you roll the die, and put that many dinosaurs on the time track. You've gotta put them where they belong-- Jurassic, Triassic, etc. Then you get to go hunting. Every turn you have a certain amount of energy which you spend traveling through time and hunting these behemoths. Its entertaining enough picking out the dinosaur, rolling the die and seeing what happens, but watch out! In a multi-player game the playing of the special cards adds to the fun even more! You can pick up extra power cells for energy, make the dinosaurs extinct in the area that another player has just traveled to, etc.!
This is an extraordinarily fun game, but even better is also extraordinarily educational! On the back of every dino card is information related to that particular dinosaur, just read and learn. I found myself picking up more facts just by placing the dinosaurs on the timeline. Playing this game helped me to see what a misnomer "Jurassic Park" actually is. I bought his for my 6 year old daughter and she loves it, and she is learning from it as well!
If you want to travel through time and hunt dinosaurs then this is the game for you! This game is a hearty and well-deserved "A!"
