Conspiracy X offers players a wide range of options for making they're characters. Skill checks are made by rolling 2d6 vs. a target number. The target number is determined by comparing the skill level to the difficulty level of the task, which is assigned by the GM. If the Skill level is higher then the difficulty level, then the target number is automatic. If they are the same level, the target number is 7. If the difficulty level is one level higher, the target number is 4. The target number can be further modified at the GM's discretion.
I found the system interesting enough, but the rules on aliens, magic, psychic powers, and other conspiracies is lacking. Players of this game will find it enjoyable to play this game, if the GM can fill in the gaps in the rules.
Style: 3 (Average)
Substance: 2 (Sparse)
