Review of Battle of the Bands

So who here remembers Watergate? Well, neither do I. Now that we're all in the same boat, let's play some cards.

Normally I don't engage in trivial past times like Magic or Old Maid. I'd sooner choke on my own vomit or get all pasty blue in the face from a heroine overdose than spend my time down in Mom's malodorous basement playing that crap.

Why am I being such a cantankerous old bastard you ask? Because I'm a rock star damn it! And now someone has finally come out with a card game that we all can relate to and yes, even have fun playing. Who doesn't like to ruin their best friends rep, steal their grrrl, and make hit singles all in less then thirty minutes? It's a dream come true for some of us and just plain, random silliness for the rest. Be Santa Claus and play the electric sitar! Go up against sexy vixens like Mortisha or, dare I say it, your Mom, send them to jail and steal their record contracts! Build up the reputation you've always dreamed of and thought you'd never be able to obtain, because your too much of a mama's boy and would much rather stay at home pounding out BASIC code instead of sneaking out your bedroom window to go see KISS rock yer nut off at the fairgrounds.

This is the kind of game you want to keep on your coffee table. To have readily available while you wait for your roommate to get off the can or for that late night phone call from your crazy ex. The art work is enjoyable and the narratives are amusing. When your guests come over for beers and debauchery they'll wonder what the hell BOTB is all about and before you know it you'll all be acting just like the nuts in game! Which isn't all that hard to believe considering a few of these characters are the spittin image of friends and enemies of my past and I'm sure yours too! which reminds me...that guy Pezzz owes me money!

All in all this is a great game. So go out and get it lunkheads!
