Review of Champions of the Galaxy

WWF.. WCW.. we watch the matches and dream about wrestling in the big leagues. Well here's your chance not only to be in a new federation (The Galactic Wrestling Federation or the GWF)... but you can also run it the way you see fit! You call the matches and all the shots.

When I got this small box I didn't expect much, I admit it.. it's true.. it's true. But I have to say beyond a shadow of a doubt that this is the most entertaining card game that i've ever played! What's so wonderful about it beside the beautifully illustrated wrestling cards? The rules.

The rules are SIMPLE and you can even play this game SOLO. Can any of the other wrestling games out there say the same thing? Didn't think so brotha.. The jist of the rules is that you start out on a level one offense and roll the dice (there are three levels of offense and defense). You roll on your offense and then the opponent rolls on his defense. This determines if he gets hit, stunned, ko'ed, pinned or just catches the poor sap off guard.

There are diffrent tables for pins, out of the ring , etc. and so forth. It looks very complicated when you see all the componets but when you start playing it, it moves as smoothly as a wrestling match. You can almost feel the electricity as these two titans vie for supremecy.

As for those other wrestling card games (WWF and WCW) Granted, they may have the names like the Rock, Sting and Brett Hart... but they do not have 1/10 of the style and or substance that this game has! In my honest opinion, screw those other games and instead of spending tons of money on cards you don't want, lay down $12.00 for a game you'll play again and again. If ya smellllllllaaaaa.. what Tom Filsinger... (raises the eyebrow) Is cooking..
