Review of Lord of the Fries De-Luxe

For those of you not familiar with Lord of the Fries, it was a Cheapass game that came out about a year and a half ago, and, is one of the best of the Cheapass Games line, allowing a good amount of strategy while being easy to learn and a ton of fun, something common for a Cheapass game.

The primary goal is to complete orders by using cards from ones hand representing food items such as cheese, fries, and several forms of meat in which to fill these orders. The rule system is quite clear and easy to learn, while providing a fairly fast paced game.

Of course, all of this said so far is true of the regular version of the game (also availible from Cheapass for something like seven dollars), but the de-lux version goes even farthing, providing several cool things that make it worth the extra money. First, and most importantly, the cards are in full color, something which provides a great effect combined with Brian Snoddy's amazing artwork. In addition, it comes with a die (something that, to my best knowledge, no other current cheapass game does, making it completely playable out of the box, which is also something unusual for a cheapass game.), it also comes with seven complete menus including the holiday one, and an interesting alternative menu that allows one ot make their own on the go.
