Guillotine: The Game Where You Win By Getting A Head will cause you to lose your head laughing. You and the other players are excutioners plying your trade on 3 busy "days" (3 game turns) during the French Revolution. You accumualate or lose points based on the heads you lop off. The victim cards, er..., character cards are assigned point values dependent on their place in French society. Louie XVI, as one of the royal couple, has a point value of 5, and the rest are assigned point values in descending order, down to a minus point value for doing a supporter of the Revolution. Vive la France!

The humor of the game comes in the caricatures on the victim (damn, did it again!),I mean character cards and the affects the action cards have on the lineup for that day's entertainment, I mean the day's tragic unfolding of historical drama. My favorite was the "Double - Header" card, where you get to whack the first 2 persons in line, instead of just the first.

So go "a head", and purchase Guillotine. It's fast and a lot of fun, and you might just learn some history in the bargain. You'll be "a head" of the game if you just go "a head" and buy it. OK, I'll stop with the puns now.
