When I first picked up this supplement when it came out in 1994 I skimmed throught it and unimpressed I put it on the shelf. I thought it was just a pretty bad supplement in a fading line. Of course with the two new Palladium Fantasy books that have been recently released I took the time to accually read the Yin-Sloth Jungles. It was better than I thought.

The adventures in the Yin-Sloth Jungles were accually good, thought they could have been given a better once over by an edidor. All four have flaws either by logic or ommission. But they are entirely workable too with a bit of work out of the can. This is made ironic that there are 5 editors listed for this book. Also the adventures could have been better joined and provided a portal to and a portal out of the Yin-Sloth Regions.

The source material is pretty well written. The Orcish Empire was interesting and could be challenging for an adventure party to travel in. A monster empire is certainly daunting. Though it should have been names the Ogre Empire. The Human Empire is also fairly interesting and provides a variety of settings insidfe of that domain.

Thius book is also a good fit into where PAlladium has been taking this line as of late. With the Western Empire and Balagor Wasteland supplements released a very good portion of the Palladium world is filled.

The one annoying thing I have found in many Palladium games is also in Yin-Sloth Jungles. The use of too many new OCC's that really through a monkey wrench into character balance for anyone using the basic character types (for the most part). Although I did find myself liking the beastmaster OCC. However the Undead Hunter is a completely throw-away OCC. It is limited to one small area which the character can come from and it is far too powerful. From a GM and plotting standpoint is is a very unusable OCC. Basically this would have been a better supplement if there were fewer new skills and OCC's. If a system is not broken, don't fix it.

With all that said, this is a upplement worth picking up with the cavoit that only if you really enjoy the Palladium Fantasy setting and system.
