Review of The Wasted West

Maybe you've heard about Deadlands: Hell on Earth? You know, the role-playing game that is the worst possible future for the Deadlands: the Weird West roleplaying game? Well, come take a tour of the Wasted West with the sourcebook--aptly named The Wasted West.

This sourcebook is jam-packed with excellence! It's got so much stuff, they had to add 16 more pages to it, and they did it at no extra cost!

First off we have the Posse Territory. It's got new rules, Edges, Hindrances, Gear, Weapons (with pics!), and a Wasted West timeline! Also, it has "Jo's Journal"--a first hand account of the Wasted West, giving a waster the low-down on everything from the Great Basin to the "Wild" Southwest.

Next is the No Man's Land. In it, we find details on a new archetype: the witch! If that's not enough for you, Pinnacle also serves us up three new relics.

Finally, there the Marshall's Handbook--giving him or her the guide to the Wasted West. And what's a Marshall's Guide without a few new abominations (and maybe a few old ones too?) to torture your posse with?

Now for the bad--the long wait we had to endure to get this sourcebook. That being said, it was worth the wait!

The Wasted West is a must buy if one intends on playing Deadlands: Hell on Earth. Full of information, it will not disappoint.
