Introduction: As of this writing, RBJ Games is currently running its "Wood Elves Miniatures" KS campaign. I backed their previous "Yippers and Squealers" KS campaign, which I felt was handled well, so thought I'd write a review of the Squealers (pig-faced orcs), and give a shoutout to their current KS. Wiggles the Warlock and Lilly

Lilly's still unhappy that I haven't gotten around to basing her in that resin swamp base I've always meant to.

Overview: RBJ's "Squealers" 28mm metal miniatures consist of a warband of pig-faced orcs, referring to one of the earlier descriptions of orcs in Dungeons and Dragons. RBJ also has its "Grunts" line of more conventional orcs. These pig-faced orcs, while comical-looking, can still also be used as any other hostile humanoid race. Miniatures are sold separately and in sets. (Background is Archon's "Dungeons and Lasers 3: Torture Room" set.)

Brown and olive earth colors, and obligatory red shields.

Preparation and Painting: Like the Yippers, these miniatures should be fine for beginner-intermediate painters. (Beginners may find dotting the eyes tricky. I suggest a 005 pen, rather than painting.) The metal miniatures have few mold lines, and are single-piece miniatures with separate bases. Just as the Yippers are based on schauzers, the Squealers are based on pigs. I used a brown and olive color scheme for their clothes because these are natural colors, yet allow the pig's bright pink skin and saturated red shields to stand out. I used zenithal priming, with black followed by gray. Then I washed in black to show off the details. Anything brown I washed with dark brown wash, and anything black I washed with black wash. As said, I used a 005 pen to dot the eyes. For basing, I used the conventional playground sand with a brown paint and light brown drybrush, as well as dead static grass. The witch's skull is from the Tiny Furniture skull set, although RBJ sells skulls as well. The frog I'm procrastinating painting a Secret Weapon Miniatures swamp base for.

Conclusion: Despite orcs long having been associated with pig faces, not many companies actually have pig-faced orcs as comical yet threatening as these. They might not pose the greatest threat to your PC's, but should still be able to cause a bit of trouble in an encounter.
