Review of Nuka-Cola Caps Set

Seeing how this is literally a box full of caps, no pdf version of it exists.

Contents: This is a transparent box full of caps, stickers and a single Item card. Incorporate the card to the game. Glue the stickers to the inner side of the caps in order to randomize numbers and effects. That's it, you are good to go.

The caps are purposefully worn, allegedly because of heavy use. In reality the caps are unused, and are thus not bent. My guess is that if you have a bottling machine, you might be able to press them on bottles.

The strong points: Real Nuka-Cola caps?! That's reason enough to buy them already!

Seriously, for those of us who have spent quite the amount of time on Fallout, these are iconic items. I never thought somebody would actually obtain a license to produce them, yet here we are. This is a real product for the Fallout enthusiast who can't get enough. Frankly, it makes no sense to talk about how the single card adds up to the game (it's nice, but let's not get overexcited). This is all about the caps, and how they liven up your table irrespective of whether you use them as a pointless prop or as a valid part of the experience. They look as impressive as you would expect them to. They are produced aged, with the Nuka-Cola emblem taking center stage. Modiphius pays attention to detail and did not limit itself to only one prototype to produce a distressed result; I counted seventeen (!!!) different templates of caps. Seeing how the caps are probably inserted in each box at random, the maximum of caps following any single template was five. Some templates were used once only. In other words, many of these caps are unique. That's what I call attention to detail.

The weak points: One needs to be impossibly observant in order to differentiate one cap from the other. If however one is, and if for any reason you decide to use the caps as randomizers, things might not work as well.

It is pretty clear by now that these are real caps. They can hurt people and damage cardboard items (or painted minis) if they are not handled properly. With a minimum of attention both you and your game will leave the gaming table unscathed.

Conclusion: The Nuka-Cola Caps Set is an incredibly cool prop. Fully thematic and even partially useful when the caps are used as tokens, it stops at nothing to impress.
