This is a good book, and I feel that it is one of the first books to show an editorial vision for In Nomine in quite a while. In Nomine has been drifting with its releases "Heaven and Hell," and "The Angelic Player's Guide." This book feels like a good kick in the ass toward In Nomine becoming a better game once again. I also cannot say enough about how this book benefits from having Dan Smith art throughout it-- he has done a wonderful job here. There is one caveat here though, Steve Jackson Games always does an exceptional job with equipment books and this one is no exception-- I don't know exactly if the In Nomine line is improving, but this is a damn fine book.

This one starts with another good story, and gets right into discussing the care and maintenance of artifacts. These rules seem to be rather simple and effective, but they aren't as much fun as what follows-- a catalog of artifacts, and ain't they dandy! You've got magic eight-balls, guitar cases for St. Stevie (Ray Vaughn that), and all sort of fun stuff that can turn a campaign inside out for years. This product just exudes a sense of fun that has been missing from In Nomine from about the beginning. This gets an "A," and is on that list of must have products for the In Nomine game.
