Review of ME: The Roleplaying Game

ME! Is an exciting new genre in roleplaying games where you get to play.. thats right - the author - ME!

You can pretend to be me when you go to the bathroom, look for work, evade the landlord for late rent payments, or even make dinner!

The system is obscure and totally diceless. There is only one class (upper-lower-lower) so time is spent on important things like developing "character" and going exciting places that the real me probably has never been.

This system is totally authentic. Unlike all those so-called "fantasy roleplaying games" written by people who have never killed a real orc in their life - or gone into a cave seeking bat quano for a spell component - I am a complete expert on my own life, such as it is, and while not exciting, surely contains enough angst to keep any of the gothic vampire players happy. And while not exactly a munchkin's dream, all you need is one psychotic break and a line on some automatic weapons and all those "ORCS" (ie the guys at the store that wouldn't take my Interac on the piffling reason of not having any money in the account) can be sent to Valhalla. Hey, its only a game.

And when you play "ME! The Roleplaying Game" you can finally not merely say "well if I were you" because you can be me!

This is not just a mere vanity project - but a total revolution in RPGing. Although the game is only good for one player and one GM (kinda like Ghost Dog without Forest Whittaker as a ninja *snicker* - can you see anyone saying "Runaway - it's that guy from Good Morning Vietnam!) currently, I am working on a version of "ME! The Clones" where players can all be clones of me. This will be followed by "Me:The Gathering" where all the clones get together for a tea and lunch social but it ends in everyone trying to cut one another's heads off as there "can be only one". The winner gets to eat the last biscuit.

This game has had twenty-seven years of playtesting - more than D&D 3E - and is ready for the masses of geeks who are tired of their boring, sad, pathetic little lives and want to branch out - into someone else's sad, boring and pathetic little life.
