Review of Hellspawn™

Hellspawn is a multimedia role-playing game set in the uncertain and darkly tinted future of Earth. A catastrophe of unprecedented proportions has initiated the beginning of the end, spawning forth a malevolent presence that has entangled its putrid tendrils of lust, disease, and insanity into the fabric of modern society.

It can be best described as a dark-future roleplaying game of terror and intrigue. Characters are thrusted into a world inhabited by the insane. Their goals are obscurred by the clouded and encrypted messages of one man.

This being knows about the evil presence and how to stop it before it consumes the entire planet. He has selected people across the globe to aid in the destruction of this menace. Only the future matters now...

THE GAME MECHANICS

The game itself is a freeform-based rules system. This is not to say that there are no rules, just that they can be broken when the situation calls for it. The game's basic mechanics revolve around an intuitive, amazingly fast and realistic system.

The basic rules allow for plenty of room and modification when you are ready to expand. Game Supplements and additions, called Modules, add optional rules to the core rules when you are ready to expand your gaming options. All of these modules and additions are available free of charge after the initial setup fee.

Although, the game is barely out of beta (just being released to multimedia online format), it has a rich history of just under a decade. The rules and the interface are streamlined for easy consumption. An online help directory, answers any questions you may have about the game.

Overall, this game is sure to please players of dark future, post-apocalypse, or horror genres.
