Review of FUDGE Oz

Sometimes a game writer just has a really bad idea.

FUDGE Oz is one of them. Let me tell you why.

There is no such thing as play balance and there are no good combat rules. A person can be just as tough as a being made of copper. No one can die, so what's the point? No money? What's the point in killing stuff if all you get out of it is a dinner from Ozma? Boy, am I motivated to adventure now!

The game tries to be 'cute'. Nobody wants to play a cute game. People want blood, guts, and big guns. This is basically Strawberry Shortcake the RPG, and is awful. Munchkins, little girls, and talking pumpkins? If I wanted this, I would've went to kidnergarten story hour.

The monsters are stupid. Ohh, a man on wheels. Ohh, killer silverware. Ohh, head-throwing men with four feet. Scary as dust bunnies.

The spells stink too. Ohboy, I can wash dishes. THere aren't even any fireballs! The weapons section is also a joke-there aren't even ten choices!

The layout is terrible. THere are basically no graphics, and the excerpts from the Oz books were extremely annoying.

Overall, this game is a waste of time. It was free, but I don't even think it was worth the time I wasted on my internet access for the time it took to read it.

The "Winkie Kid" posted complaining that he wanted to be hated or loved. Cast a vote for hate! Check out Crisis Escalation's page; it's a great laugh and a great reason why whoever made this garbage should put in overtime at McDonald's instead of writing this trash.

Style: 1 (Unintelligible)
Substance: 1 (I Wasted My Money)
