Review of AGENT X RPG

I had the opportunity to play Agent X at a convention in the San Francisco Bay area. The plot consisted of a Presidential assassination attempt. I picked up a copy of the game while at the con and found it to be a simple but thorough system. It is designed so that it can be played as a LARP or a sit-down RPG. The system uses a deck of cards for determining success or failure. The character generation system uses point allocation similar to Vampire:The Masquerade. Combat was the most complex part of the system. It was often times problematic, due to the stop-action necessary to facilitate LARP combat. Although I didn't play the sit-down game, it seemed as though combat would run a lot smoother in this type of play.

I understand that several supplements will be released over the coming months and am looking forward to playing again.
