Liber Servitorum is the newest addition to the "Liber" series. This time the focus is on characters from redeemed demons, fallen angels, ethereal spirits, and ancient mummies--over 100 characters that can be used as potential friends, enemies, or just manipulating the characters from behind the scenes. "Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain!"

The sections dedicated to Angels and Demons are rich with subplots, NPC material, and useable PCs for some quickstart games. The sections for servants introduces fresh blood for stagnant games, and the section for Ethereal Spirits has to be read to be believed.

But the best part of Liber Seritorum are the sections for Roles and Creating Servants. There's advice on creating, maintaining, and even destroying a Role. And yes, it is possible to maintain multiple Roles, but you had better be good...

Creating Servants has rules for creating servants, and they truly flesh out the rules from the main rulebook. It even gives you advice on servants from other realms, and servants who may not even be aware that they are servants!

The Appendix at the end of the book gives a quick list of Destinies, Fates, Good Deeds, Bad Deeds, Needs, and a variant of the Celestial Song of Draining for Ethereals.

The writing was entertaining as usual. The vignettes were nice to read--nothing earth-shattering, just "slice of life" stuff. Art ranged from OK to great. The editing was solid (didn't notice any typos, but one or two might have slipped by, as typos are fond of doing).

In conclusion, Liber Servitorum is yet another excellent addition to the "Liber" series. Containing page after page of information, this book is essential to GMs looking for new characters in a pinch. Take a look for yourself--you won't be sorry.
