Review of Trinity Limited Edition

It's not pure space opera, though there are some elements of that. It's not cyberpunk or Underground, although it has some of that in it. It's definitely not "hard science fiction", although there are (trace) elements of that. It's designed to be a stew of science-fiction genres that you can season to your taste. Oh, and it's angst quotient is low, and even optional, if you want.

So what is Aeon, soon to be Trinity? It's good. Not great, not ground-breaking, but good. The Storyteller system gets a nice and long overdue rehaul, and the setting, while not original, is all-purpose enough to run any type of sci-fi type game you want. THe obligatory fiction annoyed me, but the rest of the setting (AD 2120 Earth) was pretty well concieved and nicely executed wiht the artwork. The Limited Edition looks kinda flimsy, but is actually somewhat sturdy. Just don't pull too hard on the non-glossy pages!

So, if you can get past the hype (and the eventual letdown), you are left with a good game that's worth your while when the price (hopefully) comes down. It shouldn't even need a second edition (!!!)
