Review of Revelations II: The Marches

After the obligatory two pages of fiction, we leap into a highly political and fun setting. The artwork is rather good (much better than, say, GURPS). There are several new attunements, sample characters, and psych profiles to expand out the IN pantheon . It introduces the Menunin and the Pachadim, but more important (from this reviewer's standpoint), it has a tasty writeup of Gabriel. She's cool, she's insane, and mythologicallyt has always been fascinating. They do a good job capturing that here.
There's a tremendously handy bit on sorceror War of Wills, something sorely needed for keeping the feel of the setting. And of course, you have to love the 'd666' checks used in IN.
The book spends some time vagually listing a lot of Dream/Realms, including the Pagan Gods. It has the Aesir (but no Vanir, for some reason), the Olympians, Mictlan, the Happy Hunting Grounds, the Dreamtime, the Heliopolitans, the Loas, and the August Pr osperity Collective (formerly Shinto Kami). A veritable buffet of pantheons, really.
Oh, and the obligatory wierd circus adventure, also (which is probably a bonafide collective archetype, given its prevalance in gaming.) I enjoyed this book, and it really is essential in expanding the non-Xian pantheon as well as providing some of the prime movers-and-shakers amidst the factions. Worth getting.
Style: 4 (Classy and well done)
