Review of Silicon Valley Tarot

I don't normally pick up Tarot decks, especially in my line of work Tarot decks can raise eyebrows and parishioner's blood pressure. However, I am a Steve Jackson Games addict, and I picked these up when they first came out. I have to admit that I was a little disappointed in the art, but the quality of these cards is first rate. They just feel good in the hand, even if they seem a little large. They are just about the same size as a Rider Waite deck that I have…I'm just more used to handling cards that are as small as trading cards.

This is a Tarot card deck for the new millenium. The major arcana include hackers and bugs, while the minor arcana consist of suits of disks, networks, cubicles, and hosts. It is fun and humorous to look and play with this deck. The interpretive material by S. John Ross is an added bonus…this guy is succinct and adds a lot of fun and value to the deck itself.

I give this deck an "A." It is very well crafted, and I have to admit that its kind of nice to find a Tarot deck that is not put out by U.S. GAMES SYSTEMS, INC. Besides, there's a fun little card game included with the deck called RAM…so you can use these cards both for fun and divination.
