Review of Games Workshop Paint Set
Introduction:

When someone decides to get into painting miniatures they are faced with a myriad of choices when it comes to paints. Games Workshop has been offering Citadel Color since the early 90's and their newest paint set has something for everyone.

Boxed Set: Included in the boxed set are nine paints (which consist of seven primary colors, one flesh tone and one metallic), a painting guide that lists all of the colors and some other products and just gives you the bare bones advice on how to paint miniatures (items you'll need to get started, etc.) and a citadel brush is also included in the set.

Paints:

As noted above you get nine colors in the boxed set which can cover a range of projects from painting space marines to skaven. Each of these colors tend to coat the figures evenly and are also beautiful and vibrant as well. Also these are full paint pots and not the smaller ones that were offered in the basic painting sets. One of the newer features of these paint pots is the flip top lids so never again will you have to deal with the dried on paint that is stuck in the threads of the bottle (and this is a blessing , believe me).

Comments:

While this is a good paint set I would have liked to have seen something else come with this set as well. It wouldn't have hurt to throw in a plastic miniature or two to practice on. Also the painting guide could have covered some basics on painting instead of warning about how the paint is impossible to get out of clothes.

Overview:

If you are looking for a good all around paint set then this is definately for you as it offers just the basics to get you started on different projects.
