This module could easily be the best I've seen in a LONG time. I normally do not like the "out of the box" modules, but this one has everything a GM could want: plenty of content to build story and something hard to accomplish and rarely found: a good mix of confrontation and intrigue. It reads almost like a novel at times, and will definitely hook any player once it gets started...
Although I haven't had a chance to run this module yet, I did read the module from cover to cover, and came to one conclusion: This module is, well, amazing! The detail is incredible, with whole families written up and ready to interact with, they almost speak to you from the pages.
The options for the GM are interesting. Perhaps the most interesting facet - besides the excellent maps, wealth of background and incredibly detailed characters - are the adventure hook options. This module is set up so that it could be run in one of several ways. There is the standard "PCs as heroes" format, which is well done. But wait! The module also includes notes and tips on how to run the module under a "PCs as villans" format! It even has an overview on how to run it for two groups (good and bad) simultaneously! That kind of forethought and design is rare and definitely makes this a keeper.
To avoid sounding like a devotee of the publisher, I will mention one minor issue: since the NPC cast is so large and detailed, a family tree would be very helpful to have on hand when running the adventure - to keep all those halflings straight! By the way, in an email on this subject, Edgar Cha stated that he has added an errata document on his website to accomodate this change. (www.openworldpress.com)
Other than that, I have no complaints for this module, and if that's the only complaint - that there's too much detail, Mr. Cha, I'll take more of that!
Just my two silver...
