Review of Fraud Squad

Fraud Squad is a fun little NON collectible card game for 3-6 players.

It isn't as sophisticated as something like Magic the gathering or Lunch Money but is more than adequate to serve its intended purpose.

Players take the role of IRS styles investigators searching out criminal fraud amongst a handful of possibly corrupt companies.

A chain of evidence is developed by taking an Employee, Company, Technique and Location card out of the deck and setting them aside. When a player wants to present the file to the boss (ie solve the case) they indicate who, what, how and where to all the other players and look at the set asade cards. If correct they reveal the cards and win the game. If incorrect they are out of the game (fired by the boss). Evidence is gatehred by asking other players for information in a go fish style of play. Special cards such as sick day spice up play by allowing you to dodge requests or othrwise screw with the other players.

Simple and written simple on purpose.

the rules are printed on 7 playing cards, with two lists of suspects etc and 1 action sequence card. a downloadable evidence tree is available online and makes gathering evidence much easier. The art is well... servicable and could use work but does the job.

If you've seen commercials for that chose the face game, whose name eludes me at the moment, you know how to play Fraud Squad. Ideal for the pre teen crowd, and a fun lark for older players.
