Review of Reclaimer
A reclaimer is a worshipper of Menoth, so devout that he is willing to don an iron mask and forever after be silent. Devoid of emotion and the ability to feel pain, these ferrymen of fallen souls exist only to serve their god. While their statistics aren’t that good and their point cost is only 16 – not that high for solo characters – reclaimers certainly have some interesting abilities. They gain a soul token for every friendly Protectorate of Menoth model slain within 7”. Soul tokens can be spent in order to commune with friendly warjacks (exchanging a single soul token for one focus point), use a ranged magical attack (RNG 10, POW 12), or raise a spirit shield (+4 ARM). In addition, their cinerator weapons cause fire. None of these special abilities is formidable and the soul tokens gained aren’t usually worth the death of another model. Still, reclaimers can be good and fairly cheap supporting miniatures and their fearlessness ensures they will stick around until defeated in battle.

This single miniature comes in three parts (the body, one hand holding the cinerator and another holding a cross) and a base. Most of the finer details are in front, such as the symbols on the tunic. On his back, a reclaimer carries a large, imposing cross and a fuel supply for his weapon, that looks like a hybrid muzzle gun-staff. He is holding his cross in front of him, just like a vampire hunter might hold it to keep his foe at bay. This is a nice sculpt, but the figure only really starts to shine after it is painted. The main design – a man wearing a robe – is something that has been used for many years, but the details do make this figure look different, giving him his own identity.

This blister also includes a datacard, depicting the reclaimer, his statistics, and his special abilities.
