Quick and Easy SRD 3.5

This is a neat, well laid out, meant for screen viewing 61 page PDF reference document compiled from the D20 SRD core documents for classes, skills, and feats. This PDF was published by Big Finger Games and may be purchased at RPGnow for $3.00.

If you answered yes then this is probably not something you need. You may want it, eventually, but before you do anything else please visit this site.

I’ve seen fancier layouts and more readable PDFs of the SRD but, for what it is, this is not all bad. Assuming of course you are a D20 GM and don’t already have a quick reference document in PDF format. Worth considering as a “stocking stuffer” Christmas present for that GM on your secret Santa list who has a laptop? I leave it up to the individual to decide.

Negatives: The “cover” is blurry or was scanned it at too low a resolution and I couldn’t quite make out what this was supposed to be about when first I unzipped. Otherwise no problems. Too, there must now be a couple dozen of these things floating around out there, some better than others. Are there PDF documents of this sort available for free? Sure, there have been in the past, but you’ll have to Google for them. Just don’t expect half as much work to have gone into their layout as has gone into this.

Positives: Compared to some PDFs this is bargain priced. This may not be the prettiest PDF ever created but it is functional. The only real problem I have with it is, for a document that is supposed to be strictly for ON SCREEN viewing the font size is way too small. Seriously I can’t stress this enough: Anything below 10 point font is just wrong!
