Kill Dr. Lucky is a great little boardgame from the people at Cheapass games. Dr. Lucky resides in a giant victorian mansion and he wanders casually from room to room as you and the other players try to bump him off. Sound simple? Well it should be! There's alot of weapons around the house so you can bash this poor guys head in.. but there's a few catches.
For one, no one can see you do the deed. If someone can see into the room where you and dr. lucky are in, you can't attempt to kill him (after all it wouldn't be a perfect murder now, would it?) There are cards that will move the doctor or other players around the board so that's another way to foil your attempt. But the best way to foil murder attempts.. is by failure cards. If the card or cards played is equal to or higher than your attack value, the murder is foiled and the doctor continues on his merry way. The play continues until someone kills this poor chap. I like this game overall! It has all the elements of board games but also adding the element of poker (in fact they tell you to bluff as strategy). The card art isn't as diverse as some of the other games, but it is still nice to look at. As always if you want a break from the tradiational games give this one a time! You'll be laughing at each other as you try to Kill Dr. Lucky.
Style: 5 (Excellent!)
