Space Junk adds a new threat level to Silent Death - adding black holes, mine fields, satellites and more. Instead of the great open blackness of space, now you can fight in an asteroid field, dodge comets, and more.

This book is really a hodge-podge of options for Silent Death. It has rules for all sort of space phenomenon out there - black holes, white holes, pulsars and nebulas, just to name a few of the over two dozens types of things you can spice up Silent Death games with.

It also includes full rules for operating in atmospheres and gravity wells. This is a whole new world for spacecraft - weapon systems operate differently, and going into an atmosphere with a non-atmospheric ship can quickly spell death.

Next comes stats for satellites and defensive installations, well-armed and dangerous opponents for fighters. Some of these border on being small space stations. You have been warned - they have a lot of bite.

There are 29 included scenarios allowing you to try out all sorts of Space Junk in your games. Everything included in the book is featured in these scenarios somewhere, guaranteeing that you won't run out of new things to try.

Also included in the book are random charts for generating terrain for your games. Tired of seeing a wide-open space map? Try putting the odd wormhole on the map and preparing for a whole new ball game.

The presentation follows that of other Silent Death books. Clean, well laid out and easy to read. This book lacks an index, but the fact that the rule section is pretty easy to find things in almost forgives that.

This book is just the thing to spice up Silent Death games. It gives you the stuff to fill up your maps and make space a little more full of junk. Not that that is a bad thing.
