When I started a World of Darkness LARP last year, I altered the Wild West History of our hometown to make it darker and create some Wraith villains bent on revenge. Consequently, the idea of White Wolf creating a cross over supplement for wraiths and werewolves in the Wild West appealed to me. I had already envisioned and ran an adventure based on that very idea.
My playtesters and I ran one of the adventures from the book with my quite frankly not having the faintest idea how to resolve the conflict. My gamers to their credit came up with a solution that was effective at the same time could easily have lead to their destruction. It was the type of high drama, I love to see in roleplaying, but does not happen that often. I suspect the other adventures in the sourcebook would work equally well. In addition to details, plot ideas, and characters found in five different GhostTowns, there is hints on creating your own GhostTown and incorporating the incorporeal in a Werewolf campaign, a good storyteller could easily skip over that part of the book. The real useful stuff is in the towns themselves and they can provide you with five ready made conflicts. The problem with the book is that it does make heavy reference to wraith and werewolf books, that if you do not own already may find yourself wondering what is this or what is that. A good storyteller could probably glaze over much of that but it would definately help to have the basic rulebooks for both wraith and werewolf available. Indeed I believe that was White Wolf's prime motivation in making this product; to sell people on the other system. However, I think you will find enough good ideas in this sourcebook for your Wild West campaign to make it worth the extra effort of looking through the Wraith material.
