This is a companion book to "The Complete Dreamlands," and within its pages you will find a scenario that takes you on a virtual tour of these lands. Whether or not the trip is worth taking is a question that you will have to answer for yourself.

Basically Nyarlathotep is on the loose with a plot again, and the players have a major role in the plot. I just have problems with such cosmically powerful beings having to use ordinary humans to accomplish their ends. Its kind of like that other problem that creeps up in Cthulhu scenarios wherein the world is so easy for these monsters to destroy you kind of wonder why they hadn't done it before. Sometimes it is so hard for investigator's to succeed you wonder, "Why bother?" I'm not against difficulty per se, but the scenarios in "Secrets" do a much better job of creeping the players out. Dreaming Stone may be louder and longer, but it ain't necessarily better. You know, it is tough trying to write about your central bitch with a product without giving anything away.

This gets a "C." Its a nice tour, but an indifferent scenario.

Style: 4 (Classy and well done)
Substance: 2 (Sparse)
