Just thought I'd pipe in about this excellent 2'x2' whiteboard, complete with 1" squares. I've used many playaids for various games, and this sturdy board is an excellent alternative to battle-mats or paper grids. You can use regular dry-erase markers on it (not just projector pens), and it is robust enough to last for many years of heavy use. It's not produced by a gaming company, but gaming companies would do well to produce products of this type. Check it out at http://www.dryerase.com/wall_size.htm
