This is a review about the first T20 product I got my hands on. Eagerly anticipating that new game, I was happy to see the first sourcebook. I like equipment books a lot, and therefore downloaded this PDF at once.
I have to say my money was wasted (kinda hard at only 5 bucks). I tought there would be race-specific weapons, variations on rifles etc. What I got was tons of tables that basically consist of a weapon range and damage (wow, how exciting - that should allow for various combat tactics). While there are some special weapons, about 80% of the book describes weapons I would expect in the basic rulebook like a generic rifle, pistol, or sword. To be fair, the book looks nice enough, there are some neat illustrations and the layout is professional. I am quite sure however, that most of this info will be found in the basic T20 rules as well and that I have gotten about 5 pages of what I was looking for (a handful of unique guns) and even those were a bit disappointing. | |
