Disclaimer: I am the author of Inn and Tavern Floorplans.

Inn and Tavern Floorplans is an Electronic Software Download (ESD) collection of high quality floorplans suitable for any genre role-playing game. It is presented in HTML format, for easy viewing with an internet browser. The ESD is a 2.5 mb self-extracting WinZip file, at a download cost of $5.00.

Overview

Inn and Tavern Floorplans is the first in a series of Darkfuries ESD products, and has one goal: To provide highly detailed, quality floorplans that are immediately usable in any campaign.

Contents include 20 inns, detailed in 45 separate floorplans, and 15 taverns, detailed in 26 separate floorplans. There are two thumbnail galleries (one for inns, one for taverns) that provide convenient floorplan overview, size comparison and single-click access. Every floorplan is also listed in the table of contents for single-click access. A legend of the floorplan details completes the ESD.

Observations

Inns and Taverns offers 71 floorplans for $5, which is a lot of content for the money. Aside from the cover, all art is single color, which some gamers may dislike. As this is an electronic download, and full color filesizes are considerably larger than the single color equivalent, single color floorplans are understandable. Whether or not they are acceptable is up to the individual. Gamers looking for detailed texts will not find them here. Inns and Taverns has tons of floorplans, but no descriptions.

Conclusion

For the gamer who doesn't have the time or desire to design all of their own floorplans, this is a great resource.
