This supplement is an experiment in a new series for GT (GURPS Traveller). A 32 page book, detaling a single world, printed on comic sized (and comic-quality interior paper) sheets. The subject of the first book, Kamsii, is about a single world devoted to a combination theme park and nature preserve, set in the Traveller Core Sector. In style, it closely resembles GDW's descriptions of worlds in District 268, and as such does an excellent job of presenting a world in a nutshell.

The supplement itself is well and concisely written, covering all the aspects of running a planet sized theme park. Several adventure seeds are included, from running ordinary (and not) tourists, adventurers, company trouble-shooters, and corporate intrigue. A section on page 26-27 describes several variants on running the campaign from a light or dark perspective (my group encountered a slightly sinister rodent corporation running things...).

The supplement is well adapted for running with other systems as well-a deliberate choice on the part of the designers. COC Kamsii is one possibility...

Drawbacks: The book could have easily been doubled in size. The richness of the game setting is a natural for a number of game settings and systems. But costs being what they are, I suppose that the writers were forced to trim considerably. The book was also creased in the center four pages, on the upper center section, next to the staples. The comic-paper quality level becomes apparent as the book is used, as well. Also, it tends to get lost in the GURPS section of my bookcase, due to the comic size. Ah, well.

Summary: Book- worth it. Series- Book-size 'em, give them spines and titles, and double the page count, charge $12.00, and these books will kick butt and take names.

Or make them PDF's.

Dave.
