I did not have the fortunate experience of receiving a free review copy of this book of scenraios for Call of Cthulhu. However, I am glad that I was able to send my money in and further support the company, which happens to be making the finest rpg scenarios on the planet.

I can barely describe what a joy it is to get something from Pagan Publishing, because I know that they produce something which has the highest graphic and play standards imaginable. If I could have only one game system it'd be Cthulhu, and it'd only be Cthulhu because of the fine and innovative products that Pagan keeps producing.

Enough with the gushing-- this group of scenarios starts out in typical Cthulhu fashion being small, with greater horrors being unleashed along the way. The central "villains" within the book are ghouls, and a certain deadly cult. Within the course of the book certain mysteries will be solved, war will begin, and investigators will travel to French Guiana, the Dreamlands, and back again.

This book doesn't feature the world destroying plots common to so many Cthulhu scenarios, but the plot is well thought out, and nicely tense. There are loads of advice from playtesting throughout the book, and the illustrations are a joy to behold (look for a certain actor from The English Patient).

The Players Aid Kit, just adds to the fun, with nicely produced versions of all of the handouts for the scenarios. For a horror game, this is a load of fun. It gets a solid "A."
