Author: Kenneth Hite Category: game Company/Publisher: Iron Crown Enterprises Line: RMSS Cost: $14.00 Page count: 171 Capsule Review by James Hargrove on 12/22/00. Genre tags: Horror | If you have ever had any questions about running a horror RPG, or just injecting a little horror into an RPG of another genre, then this is the book you need. While it reads like some macabre college thesis, this book manages to be both informative and entertaining at the same time (two things that many RPG supplements are not). The best feature of this cunning masterpiece, however, isn't it's informative or entertainment value - it's the fact that it can be used with ANY game. Covering everything from the origins of horror, how to use it in a game of ANY genre, and what "the bad place" really is, to how to make your living room scary, designing the perfect (or near perfect) campaign, and finally giving you a list of more useful sources of inspiration than you can shake a stick at. If you have the money - order this book before it's gone for good. I bought several copies to give away as Christmas gifts :) Style: 3 (Average)Substance: 5 (Excellent!) | |
