Genre tags: Fantasy | I want keep this short, because there have been a million reviews of this movie. Most have been bad. I really enjoyed it. Wait, wait.. I know the acting was often bad, the armor looked plastic, and the plot was barely held together, but it was a good DnD Movie. Why? Because it's exactly like a typical gameing session. If you didn't like the movie (most of you) go see it again. This time imagine that your friends are actually playing these characters at a table somewhere and their actions are being displayed on the screen. All the tired phrases, overacting, insane actions ("Look beholders!" "Shhh we'll sneak around them.") they are exactly what would happen in most games. As a fantasy movie, it's an OK B movie. As an onscreen representation of a typical DnD session, it's great. Style: 3 (Average)Substance: 3 (Average) | |
