Fist off let me say that I got this for free on the condition that I review this. My local game-shop proprietor is cool that way. In any case I'll probably be returning the book since I can't review it.

It's a damn shame when a book is written by commitee. It's even worse when each author gets their own font, which seems to be the case here. Some is printed in some faux-handwriting font which I was unable to read. Some was printed on some grey background pattern that rendered that illegible.

I could make out some in character discussion of things that were already described in the Revised book. It doesn't elaborate beyond the main book. "Things haven't been the same since they burned Doistepp." "Who's they?" "The technocrats." "Shit, that ain't good."

Beyond that is a guide to how much study time is needed to advance in spheres. I have to ask "why?" If study in downtime is how the spheres improve why are there XP. If experience is what it takes to improve shperes why do you need to spend lots of down time studying?

At the end is merits and flaws and a description of the avatar storm. Neither is really that usefull. If you have any of the earlier edition books you don't need these merits and flaws. The bit on the storm is available on line for free. If you are reading this you can read that part, but you don't need to since it doesn't go beyond the main book enough to justify anything.

If I actually had to pay for this my rating would say that I wasted my money. Maybe there's a lot of good material there. I just can't read much of the damn thing.

Now, if you'll excuse me I really must return this book to the store.
