Aberrant has to be one of my favorite Storyteller games. I thought the rulebook to be one of the best superhero style games to hit the street in a long time. And it also brings into play, above all things, the METAPLOT!! I haven't seen a game with so many little side plots running through it as Aberrant. EXPOSE: ABERRANTS is a booklet that focuses on just one of these metaplots: corruption within the superhero organization Project Utopia. EXPOSE unveils three different factions within Utopia that all have differing goals and motivations: The Hidden, who wish to secretly find and destroy the corruption within Utopia, yet leave the organization intact, the Quarry, who try to free imprisioned Aberrants and strike out openly against Utopia, and the Rebels, who just want Utopia done away with and seek out any means to do so. These groups are described, as are the movers and shakers of each, but, as in many Aberrant products, no game stats are given. There are also three sample beginning characters that are fully detailed, and are representative of the three groups. This little booklet is cheap enough that if you are using Project Utopia and it's hidden agenda in your game, is money well spent. However, if you are focusing on other aspects of the game, or are running your own plot, then you will find it much less usefull. A bright point of the booklet is the illustration work by Guy Davis, whose strong style and fidgety line work really add to this booklets appeal.
