The third Book of Legends in the Tribe 8 line of supplements takes the game further beyond the shores of Vimary, to the North-eastern city of Capal, where the Z'Bri continue to rule as if the Liberation never happened. It follows the exploits of four key characters and how they eventually are drawn together by the plots and manipulations of both the sisterhoods, Fatimas and Z'Bri houses.

The presentation of this publication is nothing short of excellent. Great design and lay-out make for easy reading, along with some of the best Tribe 8 artwork to date. A few of the pictures early on could have been better, but the imagery of Capal itself is great.

The content is predominantely in the standard Tribe 8 format, that is a tale told from the viewpoints of the characters involved. This style manages to truly capture the feel of the setting, and makes for great reading. I wont spoil anything for you, other than say that the Fatimas and the Eighth Tribe have a LONG road ahead of them before they can truly claim Liberation.

System wise, there isn't much new here, but then the concept behind this book is more to inspire Weaver ideas as opposed to any additional rules. Some new Z'Bri and Beasties are introduced, as well as a few new NPCs, but a lot of the book is merely to introduce a new element to the setting.

I will admit there are still the odd typos that seem to regularly pop up in DP9 publications, but it's such a minor point when compared to the content, I think it can be overlooked. =)

In closing, another satisfying product in one of the BEST role-playing games to have been published. The focus on setting and character is a great source of inspiration. More Gaming companies should be paying attention...
