Some of you are thinking that $5.95 is a little much to pay for what is a glorified character sheet.
Well, you're right, but you're also wrong. This lttle volume weighs in at fifty-six pages, most of which are blank except for some decoration around the edges or some artwork that's lightly done (so you can write on it, and still have it show up). In front, we have an expanded character sheet, with spaces for information specific to the Sailor Moon game-your character's past life in the Moon Kingdom, details of their current life, and their Sailor Scout powers. The names of the Sailor Scout powers have already been written in, and space for other attributes has been set aside. So what you're getting is basically a glorified character sheet, right? Wrong. You're getting a very nice glorified character sheet. The book is done in a very nice style. The 'character sheet section' is very well laid out, with the most important information being right inside the front cover. There are spaces where you can write down your character's attack moves and phrases. (Come on, it wouldn't be Sailor Moon without those!) The 'diary' section is very nicely done, with many of the Scout characters being featured in the artwork. The border on the blank pages is very nicely done, and in keeping with the theme of the book. All in all, it's a very nice-looking book. For a short-run campaign, it may not be the very best idea. But for a long-term campaign, or as a keepsake, or for the dedicated fan, it's great.
