William Tell's arrow misses the apple and buries its shaft in your eye.

The africanized honey bee plants its stinger in your right shoulder, causing an indelible amount of stinging pain. You yell out and move away, and the AHB is hovering close by you.

you lose you grip on your knife and you drop it. Instinctually you drop down to pick it up when you take a kick in the face. you lose some teeth and blood flows into your mouth.

What do all of these have in common? They are critical strikes adapted from one of Iron Crown Enterprise's Newest books, Ten Million Ways to Die.

Ten Million Ways to Die is a generic supplement that shows you how you can adapt Rolemaster's classic combat system to any game. From (A)D&D® to Rifts®. The idea is to add a realistic combat system to your favorite game.

The book is full of tables: 34 attack tables ranging from the bow and arrow to modern semi-automatic rifles to futuristic laser pistols and plasma rifles to animal attack tables. Each table has it's own critical table to go along with it for easy reference. The Critical Strike tables are where the realism comes in.

Add to that fumble tables. The beginning says Welcome!, then proceeds to answer your statement: "THIS LOOKS LIKE ROLEMASTER!" Well, it is, and it isn't. Then it proceeds to describe what the book is and how it can improve your game.

In the back of the book it shows you how you can use the game with various systems. Each system: AD&D, Shadowrun, Call of Cthulhu, Deadlands, etc. represents some of the most well known RPG systems out there. These sections give you guidelines on how you can replace the inherit combat system with this one.

And if you don't know what this combat system will do to your PCs, then there is a little disclaimer in the back that basically says that this combat system focuses on realistic combat. ad nauseum.

However, I want to recommend this to any GM who is seeking to make their game as realistic as possible. This book contains the most realistic combat system to date. Not only will your games improve, BUT you will come closer to reach that goal to make your RPG come alive.

Style: 4 (Classy and well done)
