For those of you who have played white wolf's live action game line (also called the Mind's eye theatre) I'm sure that you are familiar with the ever previalnt no prop weapons rule. Which of course was put in to keep some moron from bringing a real sword into game causing an accident due to his own stupidity and blaming the whole thing on White wolf (hell after thier legal battle with Mtv over the Aeon name I wouldn't want any more legal troubles either) so how do you reresent weapons and the like in the LARP envronment, simple, for $14.95 you can buy a set of white wolf's handy dandy "prop cards" giving you all sorts of equipement and other nifty props that would be hard to simulate in game.

The cards themselves are about the same quality as a deck of magic the gathering or any decent CCG, and include 98 cards. Everything from midevil weapond, modern armor and gear to blood traits, Pathos traits (for wraiths) Glamour traits (for changelings) and of course gnosis and rage for our lupine friends.

The art is up to the par of most of White Wolf's outings, and while these pieces don't scream out louvre material they are nice and very represenatative of thier in game use. however the deck is weighted toward vampire players with almost no glamour (5 cards) or pathos (3 cards) traits but a bunch of Blood traits!(11 cards) ) also included is a set of cards for simulating rock papaer scicsors for task resolution (but there are only enough of these cards for one player implying perhaps each player should buy a deck.

Personally you could have trimmed this down a bit gotten rid of ome of the blood cards, and the paper rock scissor cards and maybe dropped the price a bit (there is nothing worse than paying for pieces you know you will never use) I think this was meant to be something to be bought by each player and if that's the case it's not worth the money (hell it's hard enough to get them all in costume let alone require them to buy a $15.00 card set!) but trait and resolution cards aside you could probably get some use out of these in a Larp (as items found and the like.

If there had been more Pathos they would be especially usefull in a wraith larp for leaving a passion oppertunity for players who find it! so in short if you are really in to White wolf Larp, you could do worse than to get a set if you aren't spend the money on some nice gothic jewelery or something!

Style: 4 (Classy and well done)
