"A Fist Full of Credits" is the first Waste World Starter Kit. It contains a simplified version of the full rules in the original book, eight pre-generated characters, and an adventure. All this for five bucks, you ask? Yes, only five bucks.

The first section is a brief rundown of the rules. It also contains definitions of the skills and equipment, the pre-generated characters are using. The simplified mechanics are nice, but still require a d6 and a d20. So, if this is your first introduction to RPG's make sure to pick up at least a single d20 when you buy this. Otherwise, the rules are straightforward and easy to read. Great for the beginner.

The pre-generated characters are all completely defined and fleshed out. They have histories, equipment, skills, and abilities. They come from a variety of different backgrounds and can be used in the full version of the game, (seems like this would be great for a convention). There are also well done illustrations of all the characters to give players a better feel for who they are supposed to be.

The adventure "A Fist Full of Credits" is broken into three parts. They are all fairly simple with few surprises. The parts get harder and harder, but probably should only take experienced players a single night, maybe two for beginners.

Overall, "A Fist Full of Credits" is a great buy. Especially if you haven't had a chance to pick up the full "Waste World" RPG and want to get a taste of the mechanics and world setting. The adventure is fun, but still challenging. Better yet, the adventure with a little tweaking could easily be used in a convention setting. With that, I would have to say that "A Fist Full of Credits" is definitely worth the five bucks.
