I recently purchased Faiths and Avatars for my Forgotten Realms Campaign. I was delighted with the quality, especially since TSR is known for putting out crappy god books(i.e. Legends and Lore 2nd, some of the worst specialty priests I have ever seen, and Monster Mythology, better but God descriptions are to short and priest aren't detailed nearly enough.

The book is fairly large with a nice picture on the cover, although I couldn't tell who it was. The descriptions of the powers themselves are nice with very powerful avatars. Some lesser powers have more powerful avatars than most of the greater gods in Legends and Lore. The churches of each god are detailed down to what each wears. this kind of detail is usally not shown in a TSR product. Rounding it out there are specialty priests for each god and church specific spells.

Style: 4 (Classy and well done)
Substance: 5 (Excellent!)
