The fourth edition of Ars Magica is not exactly the most user-friendly system out there. Granted the ease of play isn't all tht difficult, but the main drawback to the rules is a complete lack of sample characters which gives a GM and his players ideas or templates to work from. A Medieval Tapestry fills that hole and does a great job doing so.
The book is broken down into sections with each section detailing sample NPCs. You have differnt sorts of mages, rulers, regular people, and priests. A GM will find this book indispensable and players have got characters ready to run. The book is nicely written with adventure seeds included for the majority of the characters. All in all this is a great product and one which will end up being one of the most useful books the Ars Magica system has had.
Style: 4 (Classy and well done)
