Britta War Maiden is another really good piece by Reaper Miniatures. What I really liked about it and what made me buy it and paint it was the fact that this figure is wielding a pole arm and was very expressive. So instead of packing up the rest of my rental to move into my house I sat down and painted this great miniature.
There was not too much flash on the piece and it only took me a few minutes to file then primer. Painting it was a breeze and I only spent a hour (or so, I loose track of time when painting) spread over a couple nights. There were only a couple of minor details that were a little odd on the miniature (like the armor around the knees and the hand on the pole arm), but nothing major or noticable by a casual look. The only real knock on the miniature is the leg armor, which stuck me as a bit bulky for the miniature's body. It looks nice, it is just a tad out of place. Once again, like most any other Reaper figure, Britta War Maiden is a good piece that stands out from their recent releases. The nice thing about Reaper is they deliver a nice sized, good quality nicely detailed peice without looking like the GW or Heartbreaker lines (plus at a much lower price).
Style: 4 (Classy and well done)
