This is an oldie but a goodie, but I don't know how old. The game rules are very early D&D/tactical man-to-man wargame in style. They are at least interesting from a historical point of view and do provide some background flavor for a campaign set on Barsoom.

Thankfully the majority of the book is campaign background for Barsoomian adventuring. Cultures, physical descriptions and numeric equivalents are all provided. There is no art and the physical descriptions lean toward the "how to paint the miniature" in detail, but anyone with knowledge of John Carter from books, magazines and/or comics will be on solid ground.

There are few details, the book more or less serves as an outline created from ERB's novels. To someone familiar with the books, this is enough to build a campaign with nearly any RPG system. The uninitiated will need further background help but that in itself will be fun to get.

This could very well be considered a collector's item. Weigh the price against your intentions carefully.
